We provide a full range of track safety on-site railway workplace assessments that are an integral requirement for personal working on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure.
Workplace assessments provide a continuing appraisal of an individual’s competence to work on the railway. Assessments can only be undertaken by Network Rail approved assessors and our experienced team will work with you to plan the programme which best meets your operational needs.
For more information on any our workplace assessments or to make a booking, please get in touch.
These assessments are due within 4 months of initial training and on successful completion of the mentoring period. The outcome of the assessment is either competent where the full 2-year cycle starts and removal of probationary status (P) or not yet competent where the delegate remains in the probationary period for up to a further 4 months.
The Interim assessment ensures on-going competency during the training cycle, the window for the assessment is between 9 and 15 months. Delegates require a minimum of 4 work experience logbook entries and a review of the logbook by their Line Manager.
Should the assessment be missed or a not competent outcome be given by the assessor then the training cycle must start again from the beginning (i.e. Initial training and probationary status).
This assessment is for the renewal of the Possession Support certification. Delegates are required to have undertaken a minimum of 4 Possession Support shifts per year and have their workbook experience logbooks completed. The assessment is due every 3 years and must be undertaken before the expiry date of the competency.
